About the Summit

Climate Change Summit is the largest event in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to innovative solutions for the climate change challenges we are facing today and tomorrow. The Summit takes place amid geopolitical and geoeconomics shifts at an inflection point of how societies look at desired futures.

The 3rd edition of the Summit takes place on October 15-17, 2024, in Bucharest, bringing together hundreds of participants and speakers in conversations about climate change solutions, green economy opportunities and climate action. Over the three days of the event, dozens of climate innovation and environmental policy leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and government officials will get together in a joint effort to find local and regional solutions for a sustainable future.

What happens at the Summit?

Inspiration & Action

From inspiration to action and from financing to co-creation, we engage in conversations & speeches from internationally acclaimed experts and authors, key decision-makers at European level and innovative solutions from the corporate & start-up world. A ”Climate & Sustainability Business Index”, a survey of 200+ business leaders, will also be launched in Oct 4.

Vision & Collaboration

Romanian participants will work before the Summit, in September 21-22, in a foresight exercise focusing on Romania in 2030: from the challenges of climate to tech & public policy innovation. Conclusions of it will be part of the ”Sustainable 2030 Romania” foresight report to be launched in December, after the COP 27 Meeting in Egypt.

Street Art

Street art installations around Bucharest city center in September & October offer an opportunity for the general public to get inspired, informed and part of the global conversations through the Summit platforms.

Youth 4 Climate

100+ youth climate activists, students and social entrepreneurs meet with Climate Change Summit youth speakers to elaborate on climate related issues and a shared preferred future.
