How energy suppliers can help customers move responsibly into the energy transition

Electric energy is a constant presence in our daily lives, and it increasingly shapes the world around us. Yet the way we use it differs from one person to another. The energy transition is therefore not an abstract idea, but a tangible process already underway. As electrification advances, we rely on electricity for more activities than ever before: powering transport, heating and cooling our homes, and even changing the way we prepare food.

PPC Energie continues to go beyond delivering electricity alone. We believe that customers form the anchor of an integrated business model that goes beyond energy supply, extending into services that power a better way of living.

Clean energy supply made simple

Renewable energy sources remain the cleanest and the most affordable generation sources, with the green kilowatt-hour being the cheapest one. One of the clearest levers suppliers hold, when supplying customers, is in where energy is sourced.

Through the PPC Energie Verde product, we offer 100% renewable energy, with transparent, stable pricing, so that customers can make cleaner choices without added risk.

Households and businesses are increasingly preoccupied not only with how  they consume energy, but where their energy comes from, and what happens to their gadgets and appliances when they no longer work. Energy products that guarantee full sourcing from renewable generation, combined with fixed active energy pricing over a defined period, provide predictability. This allows households to adopt renewable energy not as an ideal, but as a realistic option.

Energy efficiency and household appliances

Yet lowering emissions is not only about where energy comes from, but also about how much is used to provide the same amount of comfort. Many households still rely on older, inefficient appliances that consume more energy and raise monthly bills. PPC Energie expanded its portfolio of physical products with large, energy-efficient appliances, which can be purchased in equal installments included in the energy bill, with the added benefit of free hand-in of old appliances for proper recycling.

We are the first energy supplier in Romania to step into retail, as well as one of the few suppliers that offer an energy product based entirely on renewable sources because we understand our customers’ need to benefit from integrated services and products, in an ecosystem that supports them in transitioning to more efficient consumption. Our goal is to become the integrated energy supplier that offers customers Energy For Everything through sustainable products, services, and solutions,” says Ionuț Dună, General Manager of PPC Energie.

A coach, but for energy efficiency

Even with good products, many customers don’t know where to start. PPC Energie developed myEnergy Coach, the first digital advisor to help bridge this gap. Such tools can analyse a household’s energy use, point out which appliances are most inefficient, and suggest behaviours that yield real savings. Clear, data-backed recommendations turn energy efficiency from theory into day-to-day practice.

Case in point: a supplier’s “energy coach” service that’s integrated into the customer’s digital account, showing both current use metrics and potential savings, even which appliances to replace and what changes in usage patterns make sense.

When clean supply, efficient technologies, guidance, and recycling are bundled, their impact multiplies. Customers enjoy lower bills and smaller carbon footprints; utilities benefit from smoother demand profiles, which reduces pressure on grids; and waste streams shrink as old appliances are recycled rather than discarded.

For customers, this means more ability to control their own emissions and bills. For communities, it means less waste, more predictable energy demand, and cleaner air. For the energy system generally, it means a transition that is not only greener, but also fairer and more resilient.

PPC Energie is the electricity and natural gas supplier dedicated to meeting the needs of today’s customer, concerned with energy saving, efficiency and sustainability. With a base of approximately 3 million household customers, companies and institutions across the country and a vast network of modern stores, PPC Energie’s portfolio includes value-added products and services that offer customers comfort and safety.
