As one of the world’s main financiers of climate action and environmental sustainability, European Investment Bank (EIB) entered a critical decade (2021-2031) for addressing planet’s emergencies and climate changes

The institution took a public stand and holds as missions to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels by the end of this century, adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change, combat environmental degradation, halt biodiversity loss, and stop widening inequalities.

Only in 2021 EIB invested 27,6 billion Eur in environmental sustainability financing, covering 51% of their total financing funds.
