The website available at https://climatechange-summit.org (the “Platform” or “Site”) and the Climate Change Summit event it promotes (the “Event” or “CCS”) are operated by Asociatia Social Innovation Solutions (the “Organizer” or “we”), a Romanian association with its registered office at Str. Av. Petre Cretu no. 15, floor 2, apartment 6, Bucharest, Sector 1, Romania, fiscal identification code (CUI) 39575152.
Access to and use of the Platform, registration for the Event and participation in the Event are governed by these Terms and Conditions, together with the applicable legislation in force. By using the Platform, creating an account, registering for the Event or purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, in whole or in part, please do not use the Platform and do not register for the Event.
The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms and Conditions and describes how the Organizer processes personal data. To create an account or register on your own behalf you must be at least 16 years old. These Terms and Conditions are governed by Romanian law.
The Event is offered in a hybrid format and may include both free and paid access tiers. The available tiers, their content, capacity limits and prices are those described and displayed on the Platform at the time of registration. The Organizer may change the programme, speakers, schedule and format where reasonably necessary.
Registration is completed when the User submits the application form and receives a confirmation from the Organizer (for free tiers) or completes the required payment and receives a confirmation or ticket (for paid tiers). The Organizer may limit the number of registrations per User and may refuse or cancel registrations that appear fraudulent, abusive, or made for unauthorized resale.
A ticket is personal. Transfer or resale of a ticket is permitted only with the Organizer’s prior agreement and under the conditions communicated by the Organizer. The Organizer may cancel any ticket that has been resold or acquired through unauthorized resale, and may refuse admission to anyone presenting such a ticket.
Where paid tiers are offered, prices are those displayed on the Platform and include applicable taxes in accordance with Romanian law. The total amount payable is shown before the User confirms the purchase. Payment is processed through the payment or ticketing provider indicated on the Platform; the Organizer does not store full card data. Invoices or proof of payment are issued in accordance with Romanian fiscal law and provided by electronic means.
Right of withdrawal. In accordance with EU consumer-protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU, transposed into Romanian law), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to tickets for an event scheduled on a specific date or period. By purchasing a ticket, the consumer acknowledges this and accepts that refunds are governed by the cancellation policy displayed at the time of purchase.
Cancellation by the Attendee is subject to the refund policy displayed on the Platform at the time of registration for the relevant tier. Free registrations may be cancelled at any time at no cost. No refund is due for a no-show or for a ticket that is not used.
Cancellation by the Organizer. If the Organizer cancels the Event in full, paid Attendees are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. The Organizer is not liable for any other costs incurred by the Attendee, such as travel or accommodation. If the Event is postponed, tickets remain valid for the new date (normally scheduled within 12 months); an Attendee unable to attend the new date may request a refund of the ticket price within the period communicated by the Organizer.
Reasonable changes to the programme, speakers, schedule or session format do not, by themselves, entitle the Attendee to a refund.
Force majeure. The Organizer is not liable for failure to hold the Event, in whole or in part, due to events beyond its reasonable control (including natural disasters, epidemics, government measures, strikes, or disruptions to utilities or venues). In such cases the Organizer will, where reasonably possible, reschedule the Event or offer online access.
Admission to the Event (in person or online) requires a valid ticket or confirmation and may require identity verification. The Organizer may refuse admission to, or remove from the Event, any person who does not hold valid access, behaves abusively or disruptively, or breaches these Terms and Conditions, without refund.
Attendees agree to:
The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to ensure accessibility; specific needs can be communicated in advance at climate@innovationsolutions.eu.
The Event is recorded and may be streamed online. By attending (in person or online), Attendees understand and accept that their image or voice may be captured and used by the Organizer and its authorized partners for documentation, reporting, promotional and commercial purposes, across the Organizer’s communication channels, without compensation, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
An Attendee who does not wish to be individually featured may notify the Organizer in advance at climate@innovationsolutions.eu, and the Organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request.
Some areas of the Platform and certain registration functions require a user account. The User is responsible for the confidentiality of the account credentials and for all activity under the account. Please notify the Organizer immediately at climate@innovationsolutions.eu if you become aware that your username and password have been compromised. The User may close the account at any time; the Organizer may suspend or delete an account that breaches these Terms and Conditions.
The Platform may be used only to access the information and services offered through it and to register for the Event. Users may update their consent for commercial communications at any time. Users may not:
All content of the Platform and the Event — including design, text, images, logos, video, the CCS name and branding, programme and presentation materials — is the exclusive property of the Organizer and/or its partners and is protected by copyright and related rights. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate, sell, rent or exploit any such content for any purpose other than personal use, without the prior consent of the rights holders.
The Platform is provided “as available”, without express or implied warranty. The Organizer does not guarantee that the Platform will be available without interruption. The Organizer is not liable for situations outside its reasonable control, such as interruptions of internet access, force majeure, or interruptions caused by third parties, nor for the accuracy of personal data provided by Users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Romanian law, including liability toward consumers.
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. For any questions or to exercise your rights under the GDPR, contact climate@innovationsolutions.eu.
The Platform uses cookies, small text files saved in the browser of the device used to access the Platform, allowing the User to be recognized on subsequent visits. The Platform uses first-party and third-party cookies to improve the User experience and to monitor traffic and performance. Cookies may be temporary or permanent. Users can manage cookie preferences through their browser settings and through the cookie banner on the Platform.
The Organizer’s failure to act immediately to exercise a right shall not be interpreted as a waiver of that right. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found void or ineffective, the remaining provisions remain valid and the void provision will be replaced by one producing similar legal effects.
The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, so please review them when accessing the Platform. Use of the Platform after any update means acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions. For tickets already purchased, the terms in force at the time of purchase continue to apply to that purchase.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute will first be addressed amicably and, failing agreement, before the competent Romanian courts. Consumers may also address complaints to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro) or to an authorized alternative dispute resolution entity.
